New Members, Panto 2021, Charity Status and Wide Open Spaces!

It's been a little while since our last update, but we've been so busy behind the scenes (backstage if you will) and we're here to let you in on a few spoilers of what's to come!

Firstly, we'd like to welcome our twelve newest members of the #SATSFamily. We're so pleased to have you and can't wait to meet you in person very soon! Prepare for the madness, as we're pretty sure there'll be plenty of jokes, pranks and mischief to go around after more than a year apart!

With these fabulous new additions to the family, we have now cast our 2021 Pantomime, Treasure Island... the one we've all been waiting for! The cast will be made up of 46 wonderful #SATSFamily members, plus our fantastic teams of stage crew, chaperones and front of house helpers AND our fabulous Director, Script Writer and resident Dame, Paul, has been working hard perfecting the script in time for the first read through! This year SATS Pantomime will be BIGGER, BOLDER and BETTER than it's ever been before!

BUT before then, here's another teaser of our Wide Open Spaces project... prepare to bring a Brazilian flavour to the parks of Stoke-on-Trent!! Any idea of what we might be up to? Let us know in the comments!

Now, on to our BIGGEST NEWS: Stoke Amateur Theatre Society has submitted an application to officially become a registered charity and should receive confirmation in the next few months! This means SATS can become even more transparent and we'll be able to receive more support from other organisations.

One of our main goals at SATS is to promote the arts and we understand how challenging it can often be to access in the community. We would really like to get funding in the future to pay for music, singing and dancing lessons and allow the #SATSFamily to be awarded the music, singing and dancing grades they deserve. We hope by doing so, we can encourage more people to become involved in SATS and the arts in general.

Wouldn't it be great if the next West End star came from Stoke-on-Trent, because the #SATSFamily was able to give them the opportunity that they may not ordinarily have had!?

On that note, if you are one of our existing members and you have not yet signed up to our new members platform... what are you waiting for!? Sign up now here: https://membermojo.co.uk/sats

Thanks for reading our latest update! We can't wait to see you all very soon... it's getting so close we can almost taste it...!
